Dance & Storytime (Ages 3 to 6)

with Sammi Waugh

Let’s have some fun combining dance and children’s favorite books with Miss Sammi! Each class includes a reading of the book, warm-up, and creative movement related to the theme of the book. Children will build cognitive and language skills and learn how dance tells a story as they use their bodies through dance activities and games. This class series promotes creativity, coordination, balance, rhythm, and use of fine motor skills. Special bonus of this class is that children will have an opportunity to make up their own story and movements and share with each other. Class is designed for small spaces at home. Open to all levels and abilities; caregivers and older siblings welcome. Wear comfortable clothes for ease of movement.
